Evaluation of the grain yield performance of 5 soybean genotypes in Mozambique using the GGE Biplot method

Soybean is a peculiar crop due to its photoperiod sensitivity. The introduction of this new production region requires detailed study adaptability select the best genotypes with high stability for region. In Mozambique, demand soybean grain has been growing. However, national low little knowledge performance genotypes. objective evaluate yield 5 and genotype-by-environment (GxE) interactions by GGE biplot method. trials were performed at stations Namapa (District Eráti, province Nampula), Ribáuè Ribáuè, Province Montepuez Montepuez, Cabo Delgado) in 3 seasons from 2017 2020. A randomized complete block design was adopted 4 replications treatments: Wima, Wámini, 10E, Safari, Zamboane cultivars. results joint analysis variance (p<0.05) showed complex GxE. According method, 10E genotype ideotype. Wámini worst genotype. PC1 89.64 PC2 8.26. Thus methodology proved be efficient since sum first two principal components (PCs) 98.26%.
